FantasyWizard (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates a fantasy basketball companion app that integrates with Yahoo Fantasy Sports. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (“App”) and related backend services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect and process the following types of information:
- Information from Yahoo Fantasy Sports: When you connect your Yahoo account through OAuth, we receive data such as your Yahoo Fantasy Sports profile ID, your fantasy basketball league, team, and roster information. This data is retrieved using Yahoo’s official Fantasy Sports API (via the yfpy library). We do not have permission to modify or delete any Yahoo data — only to read it.
- Cached Data: We temporarily cache your league-related data on our secure backend server to improve app performance and reduce API load. This cached data is automatically cleared after a short period and is not permanently stored.
- Crash, Performance, and Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve stability and user experience. Firebase Analytics collects anonymized information about app usage, such as which features are used, screen views, and interaction patterns. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs, device information, and technical diagnostics. We do not use Firebase for advertising, marketing, or cross-app tracking.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Display your Yahoo Fantasy Basketball data within the app
- Provide analysis, insights, and recommendations related to your fantasy teams
- Maintain and improve the app’s reliability and performance
We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
3. Data Sharing
Your data is only shared with:
- Yahoo Fantasy Sports API – to retrieve your league information
- Firebase Crashlytics – for crash diagnostics
4. Data Security
All communication between the app, our backend, and Yahoo’s API occurs over HTTPS. Cached data is stored securely and automatically deleted after use.
5. Data Retention
Cached Yahoo data is retained only temporarily. Once the session expires or cache is cleared, this data is deleted from our servers.
You can revoke our app’s access to your Yahoo account at any time via your Yahoo account settings.

7. Children’s Privacy
FantasyWizard is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or store data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
